Give the Gift Of Martial Arts This Holiday Season

Better Than Any Toy Out There!

The holiday season is upon us, and that means finding the perfect gift for our loved ones. Sure, your kids have a list a mile long – a list full of the latest toys, games, and Lego sets. But, let’s be real, what happens when your child gets that hot new toy?

  • They build it once and then it sits on a shelf.
  • They play with the toy for a month and then they are on to a new interest.
  • It ends up in the playroom to live a dusty life of limited fulfillment

So, why not give a gift that your child will not get tired of, or outgrow, or let live on a shelf? Why not give them a gift that will keep on giving? This holiday season, give the gift of Martial Arts!

It is Fun!

Kids just want to have fun, and attending classes at IMAA is definitely that. The first time your child sets foot into the dojo, and steps onto the mat, they will see just how exciting learning martial arts can be. That excitement will only continue to grow as they progress in their training!

It Will Teach Them How To Focus

In order to be successful in martial arts, you must have focus. One of the first skills that we teach children is to pay attention to their instructor. Children will need to listen and watch carefully in order to repeat the move they are being taught.

It Will Teach Them Patience

You don’t become a black belt overnight. Mastering martial arts takes time and patience. Attending martial arts classes will help your child practice patience. Whether it is patience with themselves (if they are struggling with a move) or learning to be patient while waiting their turn with an instructor, they will practice patience in every class.

 It Will Get Them Moving

Physical activity is so important for a child’s development. Martial arts is a great way to get the body moving. Children will find that their motor skills will improve greatly over time. They will be more coordinated, more flexible, have better balance, and improve their strength.

It Will Give Them Confidence

With every new technique that your child masters in martial arts, their confidence will grow. Children will find that learning new techniques and movements can be challenging, but after working hard and practicing, they will be able to execute that new technique or move. In Martial Arts, achievements are celebrated and children see that hard work pays off. They learn to work towards reaching their goal – and when they do, their confidence grows!

It Will Teach Them Resilience

All that hard work and dedication not only boosts their confidence, but it teaches them to be resilient. Children understand that in order to achieve their goals and move forward in their program they must continue to practice – and never give up when it feels hard. This is such a great skill for children to learn and it will serve them well in other aspects of their lives.

This place is great! Charles and his team have fantastic programs for kids. When we started our 3.5 year old son, I didn’t know what to expect. He quickly adapted to the classes and now loves going. Our 2 year old son loves watching and will start as well as soon as he turns 3. Innovative Martial arts also hosted their birthday parties. The kids had a blast doing different activities throughout the birthday party. Can’t say enough good things about this place, and what they teach!

Innovative Martial Arts Academy (IMAA) is the best place to take martial arts. Charles Falk, the owner, and his staff do a great job teaching martial arts to the students and teaching each student to be confident and disciplined. My son has been with IMAA for eight years - he has earned one black belt and is working on his second.

Great school with wonderful teachers. My daughter has a great time learning and everyone is friendly. There is even an adult class that allowed me to try to see if I liked it and everyone was very patient with me. I am thankful to have my daughter be a part of the Innovative Martial Arts Academy in Wake Forest and know she is benefiting from it in more than one way. It amazes me how fast she is learning and how hard she is trying. They have her trying to develop at her fullest with her mind, body, and spirit. I would recommend this school to anyone interested in martial arts.

Wonderful place for not only skill development but also personal development. Owner and instructors genuinely get to know students and families and care about them. The lessons learned will provide character growth as well as martial art skills. The owner is also a long time student of many different martial arts, he didn't just buy a franchise, and tries very hard to live what he teaches the students. Proud to have been in this dojo family for 6+ years and proud of the friendships we have made there!
